I'm such a huge fan of thriller reads and fall is the season for all things horror and thriller. There's nothing like a good Stephen King horror to set the tone for October & all things spooky. This post is a little different from my top Thriller Books To Read post, since I've added a few different books into the mix.
I've scoured the internet for the newest thriller reads that everyone is raving about so that you don't have to. If you're thriller-obsessed and looking for the best new thriller reads to get you ready for spooky season, you'll love this list.

1. The Club By Ellery Lloyd
This book follows the Home Group, a producer of exclusive celebrity clubs around the world. Celebrities can party hard without fear of the media or social media watching their every move. But something's amiss.
This story's plot is so intriguing and sounds like such a gripping read. It's definitely book to put on the top of your tbr this fall list.
2. Our Little Lies By Sue Watson
This gripping psychological thriller tells the story of Marianne, a woman who has made the life of her dreams with her 3 kids and husband who is the envy of every woman they've ever met. But, behind closed doors, things start to unravel.
I love a good psychological thriller, especially one with a twisted love story. This is definitely a page turner to read this fall.
3. 1922 By Stephen King
When it comes to horror, Stephen King is the go-to author to read. 1922 is about a farmer who succumbs to madness and violence.
This book was adapted into a Netflix movie, so you just know it's a good read. I may be biased, but anything Stephen King has written has always had me absolutely hooked- so I had to put this on my tbr list.
4. The Long Weekend By Gilly Macmillan
In an isolated retreat, three women arrive for a weekend getaway. Their husbands will be joining them in the morning. Or so they think. But when they get to Dark Fell Barn, the women find a devastating note that claims one of their husbands has been murdered.
A murder-mystery is the perfect read on a chilly fall evening. A book with unravelling secrets like The Long Weekend will keep you hooked until the end.
5. Watch Out For Her By Samantha M. Balley
This thriller is about a mother who must keep watch at all times to keep her family safe.
This book has great reviews, and for good reason. The concept is simple and has an element of darkness and mystery to it which will have you hooked.
6. The It Girl By Ruth Ware
A story that follows a woman on the search for answers a decade after her friend's murder- this book is one you won't be able to put down.
Ruth also wrote The Woman in Cabin 10- which was an amazing read. If this book is anything like that one, I know it'll be one I'll get through in just one sitting.
7. If We Were Villains By M.L Rio
If We Were Villains is the story of seven actors who are very close to graduating an elite college when tragedy suddenly strikes.
This book is a little different than the rest, but readers have raved about this book which is why I had to put this one on the list! There's nothing like a story seeped with mystery and unanswered questions to keep you on the edge of your seat.
8. An Honest Lie By Tarryn Fisher
An Honest Lie is a psychological thriller about an artist whose dark and twisted past comes to light during a girl's trip to Vegas.
A thriller about a girls trip gone wrong? Count me in. I'm a sucker for psychological thrillers about trips and the sinister side that can come with them.
9. It Ends With Us By Colleen Hoover
It Ends With Us follows a girl, Lily who falls for a guy named Rye but encounters trouble when her first love reappears and challenges her relationship.
This is more of a love story than a thriller, but this book is absolutely everywhere. Colleen Hoover has some amazing books out there which is why this book had to be on the list- people are raving about it so you know it'll be a worthwhile read.
10. The Hunting Party By Lucy Foley
The Hunting Party follows a group of nine close friends as they go on holiday in the Scottish Highlands. It's a remote retreat, but although most of these friends have known each other for a decade, tensions are high within the group. By the end of their trip, one of these friends will be murdered.
Lucy Foley, the author of this book also wrote The Guest List- which was an amazing thriller read. I have high hopes for this book, and if it's anything like her last, it'll be a gripping read.
11. Before I Met You By Lisa Jewell
Set in the 1920's, Before I Met You is a book that looks at how women's lives in the 20's were never their own, and always threatened by social ruin.
This book is about a woman named Betty, who after forfeiting much of her life to care for her grandmother - is ready to experience the world. I love how unique the plot is, and since this is a detective storyline- it has a beautiful mix of mystery and love.
12. Date Night By Samantha Hayes
A woman returns home early from a disastrous date night with her husband, only to find the TV on and a half-eaten meal waiting on the table. Her little girl is alone in the house and the babysitter Sasha, is missing.
This book sounds like a classic thriller that would make for a perfect read on a chilly autumn day. I've got this book on the top of my tbr list and am looking forward to reading it!
13. The Third Wife By Lisa Jewell
In the early hours of a summer morning, a young woman steps into the path of an oncoming bus. A tragic accident? Or suicide? At the center of this puzzle is Adrian Wolfe, a successful architect and grief-stricken widower, who, a year after his third wife's death, begins to investigate the cause.
This book starts off with a bang- which is how many good books begin. It's intriguing and tells the tale of a mysterious puzzle Adrian Wolfe tries to piece together. If you love a good mystery novel, you'll love this book.
