This post is all about how to set new monthly goals for March.
March could not have come quicker this year! Subtle signs of Spring are already in the air which mean spring cleaning, cute spring outfits, more sunlight & setting new goals. There's nothing I love more than starting spring off with a fresh set of goals to keep me motivated.
A new season & month are the perfect fresh start to create a new list of goals to work towards. I've made posts about how to set goals for a new month before, but decided to share my most updated version of goal setting this March. If you haven't set any goals just yet or are looking to set new goals for yourself, this post is for you.
Here are the best ways to set new monthly goals for March.
1. Write down what you're grateful for
I always try start any journal entries or goal lists with gratitude. List the things that you're grateful for having in your life. It could be your family, health, home - anything. Practicing gratitude will get you in a positive headspace when then writing out your goals.
2. List your top priorities of the month
What are the things you want to prioritize most this month? Think of the past few months and what you would have liked to focus on more. Listing your priorities will help you create a strong list of goals that align with your values & priorities.
3. Write down your goals in a tracker or journal
Think about the goals you made over New Years and if they're still goals you're working on, write them down first. Then, once you've gone over those goals, think of any goals you want to work on this Spring. List them down as they come to mind until you have your finished list.
4. List the steps you'll take to reach those goals
This is one of the most important parts about writing your goals down. It's easy to write down your goals and manifestations, but make sure you're thinking about how you'll achieve those goals. What are the specific steps you're going to take to reach your goals?
5. Reflect on what you want more of this month
Think about what you want more of in your life this month. This could be anything that makes you feel good, brings you closer to your goals or brings you joy. That could mean spending more time with your family, more yoga, reading, or anything else you enjoy. I also like to list ways I want to feel more often, like relaxed, happy, confident or at peace.
6. Reflect on what you want less of this month
It could be an activity, a habit, or a feeling that you get that you'd like to have less of this month. If there's a habit you want to kick or do less of, write it down. These are things that no longer align with your values or make you feel good. By acknowledging them, you can start to ease them out of your life through practice & self-awareness.
7. I deserve to achieve my goals because
I absolutely love doing this part when writing my goal entry. Think about why you deserve to achieve your goals. A lot of the time, we don't really feel as though we deserve our goals or to receive big things from life. When doing this part, I realized I felt uncomfortable and didn't really know what to write. This is where you write down all of the good things about yourself, and why you do deserve to achieve the goals you've set for yourself.
8. I am proud of myself for
Write down all of the things you're proud of yourself for, however big or small they may feel. It's important to recognize your successes in all areas of your life. We are our biggest critics, so make sure to give yourself some love & praise for everything you've done right.
9. 3 positive affirmations for March
Write down 3 positive affirmations for the month ahead. These positive statements should encourage you to overcome the fears and obstacles that come with pursuing your goals. Affirmations should uplift you & help you to feel worthy and affirmed.
An affirmation can sound something like,
"I am worthy of all of the success coming my way, and deserve a job I love".
I like to focus on any insecurities I have and use positive, uplifting words to help me gain confidence. Make sure to repeat these daily so that you get used to talking to yourself with kind words.
10. My manifestations
Lastly, write down your manifestations. These are the things that you want to manifest in to your life. When you write your manifestations, write them down in the present tense as though you've already manifested them.
A few examples of a manifestation in the present tense is,
I am confident, happy and on the path that I am meant to be on right now.
I am a successful content creator who loves their work and is fulfilled every day.
Writing your manifestations in the present tense will get you into the mindset of having achieving your goals and believing your manifestations are within reach.
Those are the simplest ways you can set new monthly goals for March. Have you set new goals for yourself this Spring? I'd love to hear about them!
