This post is all about the best Monday journal prompts to start your week off the right way.
Happy Monday everyone! I hope everyone had a lovely weekend. Mondays are one of my favourite days to reset and start the week fresh. Journaling has been such a therapeutic practice for me lately and I really love the way it has helped me feel grounded and reflective.
Journaling is a great way to start your week off with self-reflection, goal-setting & manifesting. If you're looking for ways to introduce journaling into your self-care routine, these are simple journal prompts you can start your week off with.
These are Monday journal prompts that will help you start fresh this week.
1. How are you feeling this morning?
Start off your journal prompts with a morning check-in. Reflect on how you feel this morning. How do you feel mentally & physically? Are you tired, excited, upset, or anxious? You can also use a scale of 1-10 to rate your mood this morning.
2. Intentions for today
I like to write down my intentions for the day. Start off with today, I intend to: and write down what you intend to do today. Is there anything you'd like to focus on or get done today? Write it down. It can even be something like opening yourself to new opportunities, being kind or making time for something that's important to you.
3. Intentions for the week
After writing down your intentions for the day, think about what you intend to do this week. Your intentions should align with your goals, as well as how you want to feel & what you want to accomplish during the week.
4. Weekly goals
Now it's time to write down your goals for the week. This is my favourite part of these journaling prompts because I always feel so inspired writing down my goals. These goals can be both large or small. If you're writing down large goals that may take longer than a week to reach, break down that goal into smaller goals you can work towards.
5. Steps to reach goals
This is one of the most important parts of journaling about your goals. It's easy to write down your goals, but it's just as important to write down how you're going to reach them. What exact steps do you need to take to reach your goals? If your goal is to drink more water this week, a step can be to drink a glass of water each morning after waking up.
6. I want to prioritize
Think about what you want to prioritize this week. It can be family, your goals, staying healthy, time in nature- anything that is important to you and your growth. For me, my priorities always include spending time outside in nature, with family & journaling.
7. Manifestations for 2022
This is the fun part! Think about what you want for yourself this week, as well as for 2022. With the new year coming, it's important to become aware of & start thinking about your manifestations. When writing your manifestations down, write them down in present tense.
If my manifestation is to work as a freelance writer full-time, I would write it like this:
I am a successful freelance writer and am doing what I love. Writing your manifestations in the present tense allows you to express gratitude for the future you are manifesting & creating for yourself.
Those are the best Monday journal prompts to start your week off the right way. Do you journal at the start of every week? If so, what are some of your Monday journal prompts?
