Happy Monday everyone! It's the beginning of a new week which means an opportunity for a fresh start to wipe the slate clean. If you're working on your wellness to make positive changes in your life, there are so many different things you can do. You can start by reading books to shift your perspective, journaling, and using positive affirmations.
One of the ways you can help get your week started on a positive note is to start using daily affirmations.
Positive affirmations are positive statements that you repeat to yourself daily. These statements can help you challenge and overcome negative thoughts, and help you shift your thoughts in a more positive direction. The way you speak to yourself and your thoughts have an immense influence on how you feel about yourself. That's why it's so important to think about how you talk to yourself.
I've been working to add positive affirmations into my daily morning routine and have found them to make such a difference in my mornings and in how I feel about myself. These are 7 positive affirmations to repeat to yourself daily in the beginning of a new week.
1. I am grateful for the gift that is today
Treating each day like a gift will help you feel grateful for all of the beautiful moments and people in your life. Starting the day with gratitude is one of the easiest ways to remember what you are blessed with and to feel positive about your life. Regardless of where you are in life, you can reflect on the things you do have and are grateful for each day.
2. I choose to create something beautiful this week
By choosing to create something beautiful this week, you set an intention to work on bringing beauty into the world and your life. This can be anything from content you've created, to memories and experiences you want to have this week. Focus on something you want to work towards that will bring you joy.
3. I am exactly where I am meant to be right now
It's easy to compare yourself to others and think you're not on the right path simply because it doesn't look like everyone else's. Your path is unique to you and it may look completely different from what your friends are doing right now.
Practice telling yourself that you're exactly where you're meant to be right now. Rather than resisting your path, you ca embrace it with acceptance.
4. I am capable, deserving and worthy of achieving success
If deep down you don't feel that you're deserving or worthy of success, you'll fall into self-sabotaging habits that will slow you down. Repeat this positive affirmation to yourself each day to help yourself accept that you are worth success and that it is possible for you. I didn't realize I was afraid of success and didn't think I could achieve it until I started repeating this affirmation to myself. The more you say this to yourself, the more you'll feel ready to accept your achievements.
5. I am open to the opportunities and success that are coming my way
Being open to opportunities and success means that you're not practicing any self-sabotaging habits that are keeping you from achieving your goals. You are open to the opportunities coming your way and are willing to work for them. This doesn't mean that all you have to do is repeat this affirmation and success will come to you.
It means that you're ready and willing to commit to working for new opportunities and towards your goals.
6. I have everything I need to have a wonderful week
It can be easy to fall into feeling that you don't have enough and focusing on what you wish you had. Instead of focusing on what's missing, shift your thoughts to thinking that you have everything you need. This ties into practicing gratitude and letting go of the belief that you don't have enough. You have more than enough and have everything you need to create a beautiful week for yourself.
7. I am strong, capable and confident in my decisions
If you struggle with imposter syndrome, indecisiveness or waiver in your self-confidence, this positive affirmation is for you. Of course we all have days where we don't feel good about ourselves; it's completely normal and okay to feel that way. But, if you have these thoughts daily and struggle to feel good about yourself- repeat this affirmation each day.
You are strong, capable, and confident in your decisions. Every mistake is another lesson to bring you towards the right direction. This positive affirmation will help you make decisions and feel confident about them, even if they don't always work out rather than feeling stuck in indecisiveness.
Those are the 7 positive affirmations that will help you start fresh for a new week.
