This post is all about the absolute best Sunday reset routine.
There's nothing quite like a relaxing Sunday to reset & prepare yourself for the week ahead. I love having slow Sundays where I can reflect on the past week, prep for the upcoming week while relaxing, too.
My Sunday reset routine is one of my favourite parts of the week. I love to feel set up for the week ahead while also taking time to do things for myself. It's all about finding the perfect balance between getting ready for Monday while enjoying the weekend.
Here is the absolute best Sunday reset routine to help you get ready for the week.
1. Plan out your weekly schedule
There's nothing that makes me feel more organized & prepared for the week than filling out my weekly planner. I always fill in my weekly to-do list, put in important dates into my calendar & write out my freelancing schedule. I jot down my goals, priorities and tasks so that when Monday comes, I know what I'm working towards.
2. Meal prep for the week ahead
Whether you work from home or commute to work, you'll save so much time & energy meal prepping for the week ahead. I love meal prepping on a Sunday and having my lunches ready to go for the week. It frees up so much time not having to make a rushed lunch in the morning or at the end of the day.
3. Finish all house chores
Sunday's are the perfect day to finish any chores around the house leftover from the weekend. I love starting the week feeling like everything is clean, organized and set for the Monday. It's a slow day to finish up any laundry, cleaning and organizing.
4. Listen to an inspiring podcast
Uplift your mood and get excited about the week ahead with an inspiring podcast. If you're in need of new podcasts to listen to, have a look at my latest blog post about 7 Podcasts That Will Change Your Life. These are 7 of my absolute favourite podcasts that never fail to put me in a good mood.
5. Journal
If you've been reading this blog for a while, you'll know how much journaling has changed my life. I love journaling and always end my weekend with journal prompts to reflect on my week and on what I'd like to do differently for the week ahead. You'll love these simple daily journal prompts to reflect with on your Sunday.
A few of my favourite Sunday journal prompts are:
1. What went well for me this past week?
2. If I could change something about the last week, what would it be & why?
3. What are my priorities for this week ahead:
4. My favourite part about the past week was:
5. This week, I hope to feel:
6. Practice a daily meditation
Even if it's for a few minutes, meditation on a Sunday can ease the Sunday scaries & give you space to unwind. If you have time to practice yoga, you'll love Jessica Richburg on YouTube. For those looking for a quick meditation, try the Ho'oponopono Affirmation Meditation .
7. Do something for yourself
Make time in the day to do something that brings you joy & helps you feel relaxed. Sometimes, Sunday's before the working week can bring on feelings of stress and anxiety. That's why I always try to make time to do something that's fun & helps me unwind. My go-to things are going for a walk, reading a book, doing a crossword puzzle or watching a documentary on Netflix.
8. Write out manifestations & affirmations for the week ahead
This goes hand in hand with journaling and is a great way to feel inspired for the week. Write out your manifestations & affirmations for the week ahead. Your manifestations are ideas, goals & thoughts you hope to manifest through your thoughts. Your affirmations are positive thoughts you want to reaffirm yourself with.
These are a few of my favourite positive affirmations:
1. I am exactly where I am supposed to be and am on the right path in my life.
2. I am successful and abundant in my growing career and am confident in my abilities.
3. I am worthy of success, love & good things that are coming my way.
